How to return a power bank and release the deposit

The return is the step that closes your charge and releases the deposit, so it is worth doing properly: a free slot, a push until it clicks, and a powered station.

Three conditions for a clean return

The station must be powered on — a dark station will not register the device. The slot must be free. And the power bank must be pushed in until it clicks and locks.

If it is not fully seated, the system still sees an active rental and billing continues up to the daily cap.

Return at any station in the network

You never have to go back to the station you rented from. Any Dead Batt station in Israel accepts any power bank in the network.

That helps when you picked one up at a mall and finished the day in a cafe or office — drop it at the next convenient place.

    What happens to the deposit

Once the rental closes, time-based billing stops and the 70₪ hold is released. How fast it shows in your statement depends on your card issuer, usually a few business days.

If something did not close as expected, message us on WhatsApp with the venue name and approximate time and we will check the rental on our side.

Run a café, restaurant or shop? Install a power bank station for business for free — no installation cost, with a 15–25% commission on every rental.
